She Never Quit

She Never Quit is a camp that pairs professional women shooters with regular every day women who want to either learn how to shoot or hone in on their skills. The 2.5 day camp is packed with pistol, shotgun, rifle, archery, knife throwing, self defense lessons taught by ladies who are Olympian gold medalists, world champions, and national competitive champions. Whether you’ve never shot a gun or you are pretty darn good, you leave empowered. Remember when you were a kid and went to an awesome camp and you left on a high? That’s how She Never Quit is.

During the camp we spend the mornings shooting, then break for lunch where we meet up with the amazing Chef Emily.

After lunch you choose which activities you want to participate in like fishing, hiking, getting a massage, join a work out class taught by a skilled instructor, etc.

Dinner is served by Chef Emily, and both nights we have a guest speaker. (By the way, Chef Emily has her own incredible Never Quit story as she has survived unthinkable tragedies.)This year we had Cindy Oji-Axelson who represents the Navy SEAL Family Foundation. Cindy speaks from the heart about the foundation and has a first hand experience of needing support. Cindy lost her husband in 2005 during Operation Redwing and is now an incredible voice to raise awareness and support for families in need.

The second night we had Bre Kingsbury, from Wreaths Across America share her testimonial and the history of Wreaths Across. The mission of WAA is to Remember, Honor, Teach. Remember the Fallen, Honor their families and Teach the next generation. Every year on the 2nd Saturday in December thousands gather at state and veteran cemeteries to lay wreaths on every headstone to Remember, Honor, Teach.

After the dinner on the last night we have a silent auction, live auction and raffle. All monies raised goes to the foundations that were represented at the camp. In this case SEAL Family Foundation and Wreaths Across America.

We also do a safari ride through the sanctuary side of the ranch and visit the giraffes and pass by the zebras.

The sisterhood that these ladies create during this time together is special to say the least. I look forward to the 6th She Never Quit!
